About the Role
The Senior Compensation Analyst is a strategic and technical expert responsible for designing, analyzing, and delivering data-driven compensation programs across a global organization. This role goes beyond traditional compensation administration, requiring deep expertise in data analysis, market benchmarking, job architecture, and advanced dashboard development.
The ideal candidate is highly analytical, systems-savvy, and skilled at translating complex compensation data into actionable insights using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and Workday. This role partners closely with HR, Finance, and business leaders to ensure compensation programs are competitive, equitable, scalable, and aligned with organizational strategy across multiple geographies.
Key Responsibilities
Compensation Strategy & Program Design
- Support the development and implementation of global compensation frameworks, including salary structures, incentive plans, and pay guidelines
- Build and maintain salary bands (pay ranges), incorporating market data, internal equity, and geographic differentials
- Evaluate and provide recommendations for compensation actions (offers, promotions, off-cycle increases) based on data-driven insights
Data Analytics & Insights
- Analyze large, complex compensation datasets to identify trends, risks, and gaps (e.g., compression, pay equity, outliers)
- Conduct advanced statistical and regression analyses to support compensation decisions and program design
- Deliver clear, actionable insights through dashboards, reporting, and executive-level presentations
Market Benchmarking & Survey Management
- Lead participation in compensation surveys (e.g., Radford, Mercer, WTW)
- Accurately map internal roles to external benchmarks and maintain consistency across job families
- Interpret survey data to inform global pay positioning and competitive strategy
Dashboarding & Reporting
- Design, build, and maintain dynamic dashboards using Power BI and/or Tableau
- Develop self-service reporting tools for HR and business leaders
- Ensure visualizations clearly communicate compensation insights and support decision-making
Systems & Data Integrity
- Serve as a subject matter expert for Workday Compensation, including configuration, reporting, and data structure
- Ensure accurate job architecture, job coding, and compensation data across systems
- Partner with HRIS to enhance data governance, reporting capabilities, and integrations
Global Compensation Operations
