OverviewThe RN Cardiovascular Clinical Data Analyst is responsible for the collection, submission and analysis of statistical data and complex medical information from a variety of patient sources including registries, internal reports, and electronic medical records for the cardiovascular patients that supports critical program activities including direct patient care and regulatory and accreditation requirements. The RN Cardiovascular Clinical Data Analyst will act as the subject matter expert for quality measures and quality concepts by providing education, presentations and consultation while serving as a leader in the clinical quality evaluation activities to promote performance improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with regulatory standards. The RN Cardiovascular Data Analyst serves as an integral part of the Quality Department team and assists RHS and RRMC in making data actionable for ongoing process improvement.
This position is responsible for the data collection, entry, analysis, submission, report preparation, presentation of data, data sharing for process improvement initiatives, bench marking and outcomes research. Analyst maintains detailed knowledge of registry field definitions, reporting requirements, has a high degree of organizational skill, and is detailed oriented. The RN Cardiovascular Clinical Data Analyst is responsible for the technical and methodological support of the assigned registry or registries and reports.
What you will do
- Maintains relationships with the internal and contracted data and quality team and serves as the data manager for the various registries within the Cardiovascular Quality Department. These registries include VQI, STS ACSD, STS/ACC TVT, Cath PCI, EP, LAAO and Chest Pain Center. Provides patient lists as required, supports education for the abstractors, coordinates entry, report, analysis, validations, and submissions.
- Conducts and leads process improvement projects based on analysis of clinical data. Collaborates with others in identifying new and improved ways to distribute clear and concise data and display findings electronically to facilitate access to finding, sharing interpretations and expedite decision making.
- Coordinates the collection, submission and analysis of statistical data related to the clinical outcomes for designated patient populations and is the subject matter expert for the data registries and specifications manual. Assures data integrity. Disseminates data reports to accountable individuals and team members in a timely fashion. Maintains all dashboards with current data.
- Completes special projects
