The Safety Data Analyst role will be responsible for managing, ensuring the integrity of, and strategically using safety-related data across the organization. This position supports data-driven decision-making by ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and usability of information from multiple safety platforms, including incident management and inspection systems. Operating in a dynamic day-to-day environment, this professional partners closely with Safety, Operations, and Leadership teams across the business to translate complex metrics into actionable insights, visual dashboards, and risk-reduction strategies that drive continuous performance improvement. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Serve as the primary administrator for safety data systems, maintaining system configurations and ensuring absolute data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across all inspection and incident management platforms. Establish, monitor, and maintain rigid data governance standards, managing proactive validation, auditing, and quality control processes to quickly eliminate reporting delays or system gaps. Analyze complex safety data sets to identify emerging risk patterns, predictive trends, lagging incident rates, and critical leading indicators. Design, build, and continuously optimize interactive data dashboards and reporting frameworks tailored for Safety and Operations leaders. Standardize core reporting formats and key performance indicators (KPIs) across all geographic regions and business units to ensure organizational alignment. Translate highly technical, complex safety data into clear, concise, and actionable recommendations for executive leadership and dedicated project teams. Partner cross-functionally with Risk Management, HR, Training, and Operations teams to align analytical capabilities with broader business reporting requirements. Support active incident investigations, compliance audits, and external regulatory documentation requests with timely, accurate data extractions. Train and upskill end-users on proper system utilization and data-entry practices to improve overall data quality directly at the collection source Position Requirements (Work Experience, Skills, Licenses, etc.): Demonstrated ability to synthesize, transform, cleanse, and normalize unstructured data from multiple disconnected systems using ETL tools (e.g., Power Query, SQL, Alteryx, Power BI Dataflows, Python). Advanced proficiency in leveraging database tools and automation resources, including SQL and Power Automate. Strong technical background creating impactful data visualization layouts within platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or Snowflake. Superior analytical and structural problem-solving skills, with a track record of translating complex technical formulas into highly consumable briefs for non-technical stakeholders.
