THE ROLE

PORTA is looking for a Sales & Marketing Analyst to join the team. Reporting to the Senior Director, Sales, you will be a meaningful member of our rapidly growing company and play a key role in driving brand growth. You will support both Sales & Marketing, ensuring all operational needs of the business are executed effectively and efficiently to deliver on objectives.Β 

You will support in fostering partnerships with our Retail Customers, analyzing data and providing actionable insights, and develop key account management skills. You will also drive the development, execution and implementation of our content strategy, in support of building the PORTA brand, community and velocity goals.Β

Requirements

Sales Reporting, Forecasting, & Insights:

  • Manage revenue reporting and identify weekly actionable insights
  • Evaluate weekly & monthly customer POS data, summarizing trends and business opportunities
  • Own sales forecast and liaise with operations/demand planning to ensure accurate and steady supply, including for new customer launches

New Customer & Product Launches:

  • Execute the entire commercialization process with customers & distributors, from customer onboarding, GS1 setup, new item set-up, etc., within established deadlines
  • Lead post-launch summaries and analysis to share with the broader team

Account Management:

  • Own relationships with select key accounts, managing new item sell-in, ongoing execution, monitoring performance, and creating profitable growth for both PORTA and these customers
  • Support senior sales team in day-to-day operational account management, trade and promotional planning and execution, forecasting, annual business reviews, etc.
  • Ad-hoc projects as requiredΒ 

Trade Strategy:

  • Develop key skills in promotional strategy, building on financial acumen to execute, analyze, and recommend go-forward trade strategy
  • Support promotional tracking, deductions management, customer P&L management

Store Execution:

  • Connect with our retailer partners in stores to foster our relationship and seek product and performance feedback via monthly in-store visits

Marketing:

  • Email Marketing Support: Assist in the creation and execution of email marketing campaigns, including content creation, segmentation, and performance tracking to drive engagement and conversions.
  • Community Engagement: Actively engage with the PORTA community through social media, email, and live events, fostering relationships that build brand loyalty.
  • Customer Feedback & Insights: Gather and analyze customer feedback from various channels to inform future content strategies and improve the customer experience.
  • Event Management: Assist with the execution of company-sponsored events, including trade shows, pop-up shops, and influencer-hosted events.
  • Manage and Monitor Referral Program: Oversee daily operations of the referral program, including tracking performance metrics, responding to customer inquiries, and fostering an engaged community to drive program success.

ABOUT YOU

The Ideal Candidate will have:

  • University Bachelor’s Degree, business degree preferred
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of CPG sales or Retail experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel, Power Point)
  • Detail oriented, with exceptional time management and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical and storytelling skills with the ability to summarize various data sources into clear and actionable recommendations
  • Strategic thinker; business and financial acumen
  • Impactful verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of Nielsen & POS Data systems an asset
  • Self-starter and ability to work in ambiguous environments
  • Deadline-driven multi-tasker with strong attention to detail
  • Collaborative team player
