Salesforce Business Analyst

PURPOSE:
The Salesforce Business Analyst supports the successful delivery of Salesforce consulting engagements by translating business needs into functional requirements and system specifications. This role serves as a critical link between business stakeholders and the technical team, ensuring that solution designs address customer goals and constraints. The Business Analyst contributes to project delivery through user story documentation, testing support, and end-user enablement activities.
Business Analysts at this level are expected to build their consulting acumen while providing value across the project lifecycle through analytical thinking, collaboration, and a commitment to continuous learning.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Business Analysts at Ascend have four primary areas of responsibility:
Project Planning- Gather Requirements: Participate in discovery sessions and workshops to gather, document, and prioritize business requirements and user stories.
- Understand Scope: Support Consultants and Project Leads in understanding scope boundaries and defining minimum viable product (MVP) features.
Project Design and Configuration - Document Functional Requirements: Perform hands-on configuration tasks such as creating custom fields, page layouts, validation rules, flows, and reports under the guidance of Consultants or Architects. Contribute to solution implementation while escalating design decisions or complex logic to more senior team members.
