JOB GOAL:
The Secondary Math Intervention and Data Specialist provides math intervention by working directly with students, supports the collection and preparation of a variety of student learning data, facilitates the data PLC process, and assists staff in using data to improve student achievement.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Arizona Teaching Certificate with Mathematics Approved Area required for 7-12 or 9-12 schools.
- A valid Arizona Teaching Certificate with Middle Grades Mathematics as an Approved Area for a 7-8 school.
- SEI (Structured English Immersion) requirement posted on the certificate.
- Five (5) years of successful teaching experience preferred.
- Experience in analyzing testing data preferred.
- Must pass a background clearance
- Must obtain an Arizona IVP Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: 191 Days; 10 Months
COMPENSATION: Per QCUSD salary schedule for the applicable position

EVALUATION: Per District Policy
HOURS: 40 hours per week and may require longer hours - Monday-Friday 7 a.m.-3 p.m.
CLASSIFICATION: Exempt
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities shall include, but not be limited to, the following:
- Analyzes student performance data from School City benchmark assessments, AASA, ACT, ACT Aspire, and other standardized assessments.
- Coordination of test administration for School City benchmarks, AASA, ACT, ACT Aspire, and other assessments.
- Leads and supports Professional Learning Community (PLC) meetings focused on formative assessment data, instructional dialogue, and Reteach/Enrich (Achievement Hour).
- Compiles and communicates data reports, highlighting student strengths and areas for growth to both site and district-level personnel.
- Spends 50% of their time working directly with students to provide targeted math interventions.
