POSITION TITLE:  Senior Engineer, Business Intelligence

POSITION SUMMARY: The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst works within the BI team and focuses on leveraging technology to extract and share analytics insights using creative data visualizations. This exciting opportunity lives in the most visible team across the organization and will focus on front line initiatives that are regularly communicated the Fortune 500 company public message given by the CEO.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Develop data quality and testing plans to validate data pipelines, validate KPIs & quality trends for the data across multiple systems


• Take ownership of end to end data quality and rules implementation


• Design, develop, implement and execute automation testing, data quality processes and requirements and track data issues


• Actively engage in data validation technology discovery and implementation for on-prem and cloud


• Develop scripts in SQL/Python/etc. to achieve data quality objectives


• Participate in architecture design and discussions


• Be part of the Agile team to collaborate and to help shape requirements


• Supports the development and design of the internal data integration framework


• Works with Business Analysts and Developers based on test findings  to resolve source data issues and refine transformation rules

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Finance, Statistics or related discipline.


• 5+ years of relevant experience in a business intelligence role, including data warehousing and business intelligence tools, techniques, and technology, our expertise in analytics, business analysis, or comparable consumer analytics solutions


• 5+ years of experience writing advanced SQL, performance tuning of BI queries, data modeling, and data mining from multiple sources (SQL, ETL, data warehousing).


• 5+ years experience with advanced Power BI topics such as complex calculations, table calculations, parameters, geographic mapping, multiple disparate data sources, and performance optimization


• Effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously and pay close attention to detail


• Hands on data validation experience on AWS or Azure cloud technologies and no-sql databases
