The Hire is partnering with a growing company specializing in the manufacturing and distribution of personal care and household products for a Senior Financial Analyst.Β
The Senior Financial Analyst will support the Director of FP&A in overseeing the financial planning activities of the company, which includes crafting the yearly budget, periodic forecasts, and long-term financial strategies. Additionally, conduct cost analysis for newly introduced products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Aid in ensuring timely and precise financial closure and reporting on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
- Offer financial insights, reporting, and decision-making assistance to department heads and key business operations, addressing inquiries on revenue, expenses, budgets, productivity, staffing, and new ventures.
- Prepare monthly variance analyses for critical accounts.
- Contribute to the formulation of annual operating budgets for all departments, which are presented to the Executive Committee and Shareholders for approval.
- Develop cost breakdowns for new products.
- Oversee proper inventory accounting, involving reserve calculations and reconciliations between perpetual inventory and the general ledger.
- Analyze monthly inventory variances, encompassing labor and material usage discrepancies.
- Undertake additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs degree in Accounting or Finance; a Masterβs degree is a plus.
- Seven years of progressive experience in financial planning, with a focus on finance or accounting.
- Previous experience in financial management within a manufacturing setting is advantageous.
- Preference for experience in cost accounting.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, team-building, and decision-making capabilities.
- Exceptional organizational skills with superior written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities.
- Proficiency in computer software and database utilization.
- Exceptional business and financial acumen.
