Purpose
The Financial Analyst is responsible for complex financial analysis by extracting financial data from various accounting and information systems; perform objective financial and cost accounting analysis of data with recommendations to leadership on cost savings and profit enhancement opportunities; develop financial models and forecasts; provide advanced evaluation of proposed and contracted insurance payor agreements; and provide primary assistance in the development of specific contracting strategies. The Financial Analyst also supports the completion of annual reports and works on special projects and strategic plans.

In this position you will:Β Β
- Analyze financial data and extract and define relevant information; interpret data for the purpose of determining past financial performance and/or to project a financial probability.
- Perform complex statistical, cost, and financial analysis of data reported.
- Devise strategies for cost reduction and revenue growth.
- Develop financial reports for forecasting, trending, and results analysis for organization leaders.
- Understand and interpret insurance contract terms, reimbursement schedules, patient accounting system, and other sources of data to complete analyses and financial projections.
- Tracks various value-based care contract payments, including shared-savings, risk pools, incentives, and capitation.
- Use various software applications, such as spreadsheets, business intelligence and/or dashboard software, relational databases, and graphics packages to assemble, manipulate and/or format data and/or reports.
- Coordinate with co-workers to analyze fiscal impacts from operation and/or clinical activities.
- Collect and study data to determine costs of business activities. May recommend budget adjustments, and other cost improvement measures to executive leaders.
- Interpret financial transactions and events for co-workers who must make economic or business decisions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Key Skills, Knowledge and AbilitiesΒ
Required for this job:Β Β
- Able to process data from disparate sources to deliver accurate forecasts and actionable insights that support leaders in making critical business decisions.
- Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office products, including Excel and Visual BASIC for Applications (VBA).
- Knowledge of accounting systems, electronic health records, practice management systems, visual dashboards.Β Preferred experience with NetSuite, Workday Adaptive Planning, Epic, and Domo.
- Demonstrated knowledge of managed care concepts and the financial relationship between payor and provider.
- Enjoys working at the top of their scope and partnering with team members.
- Organizational and project management skills to manage projects effectively, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Required qualifications

Bachelorβs degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 5-7 yearsβ financial analytics experience with health care and/or managed care contracts required; additional education may be substituted for some experience.
Preferred qualifications
- Masterβs degree (MBA, MHA)
- 3-yearsβ performing value-based care analytics.

The wage range for this position is a minimum $96,394.00/salary up to $137,155.20/salary maximum.Β
Compensation will be determined based on years of relevant experience.Β Β
