The Senior Financial Analyst is an integral part of companywide financial analysis, planning, and forecasting.
Responsibilities:
- Examine, analyze, and interpret internal operational data from various sources to create and provide monthly, quarterly, and annual operational metrics reports.
- Consult with internal department leaders to complete the annual budget process by gathering information to understand and forecast business needs, supporting the company’s goals or initiatives.
- Assess budgets for completeness and reasonableness through trend analysis. Synthesize complex data into summary-level reports for executive review.
- Analyze monthly results, such as budget versus actuals, and create executive-level summaries.
- Prepare supporting documents for the company’s public filings (e.g., supplemental, investor presentations, and SEC filings).
- Perform ad hoc analyses as requested (e.g., trend analysis and scenario modeling).
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field required.
- Minimum two to four years of experience in a related field.
- Experience in the Real Estate industry/REIT preferred.
- CPA preferred.
- Basic understanding of GAAP accounting and financial statements.
- Basic understanding of SOX compliance.
- Proficiency in MS Office, with knowledge of Yardi Voyager and Microsoft Dynamics CRM preferred.
- Strategic thinking and the ability to synthesize complex business/financial data and develop innovative solutions.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, and other functions.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills.
- Strong staffing, development, team member, and appraisal skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong customer, quality, and results orientation.
Compensation
The anticipated pay range/scale for this position is $89,739.00 to $112,204.00 Annually. Actual starting base pay within this range will depend on factors including geographic location, education, training, skills, and relevant experience.
Additional Compensation
This position is eligible to receive a discretionary annual bonus.
