The Impact You Will Have
Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota is growing! Our Quality Analytics team is seeking a Senior Healthcare Analyst - Quality & Stars to support a growing, high-impact function focused on healthcare quality performance and reporting. This team plays a critical role in supporting Quality/HEDIS/Stars initiatives across the organization by delivering data-driven insights tied to key performance measures.
As the team evolves, it is bringing together both HEDIS production and analytics functions into a single, centralized group—creating a unique opportunity to influence how quality data is generated, analyzed, and applied.
In this role, you will partner closely with quality, clinical, and operational stakeholders to support and guide their strategic needs through the application of advanced analytics to diverse business questions and initiatives. You will create accurate and timely data, uncover performance drivers and opportunities, and support strategic improvement efforts.
This position requires strong technical and analytical expertise, with a focus on modern data tools such as Databricks and Power BI, along with the ability to translate complex healthcare data into actionable insights. A background in healthcare and knowledge of healthcare quality analytics (HEDIS, CAHPS, CMS, PQA, etc.) is strongly preferred.
Your Responsibilities

- Identifies issues to be researched, determining affected areas, estimating the impact and contributing to the resolution.
- Implements improvements to process, analysis, and research methods.
- Works with principal positions and management to understand and interpret the impacts to cost and quality of proposals using relevant data sources and analytic methods.
- Assists in the implementation of new products and systems by providing actionable information and recommendations that evaluate the impact of the proposed products and systems.
