Position Summary
A key financial position within the Valley Medical Group Finance team, the Senior Revenue & Financial Analyst is responsible for the analysis, validation, forecasting, and reporting of physician enterprise revenue and operational performance. This role serves as the primary finance resource for professional fee revenue analytics, revenue forecasting while supporting month-end close activities, budgeting and financial planning.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field.
Experience
Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in healthcare finance, accounting, revenue analytics or financial planning and analysis.
Skills
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling, pivot tables, Power Query, and complex formulas.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to interpret complex financial, operational, and clinical data.
Knowledge of healthcare reimbursement methodologies, physician revenue cycle, cash-to-accrual accounting, contractual allowances, bad debt reserves, and revenue recognition principles.
Ability to work independently to substantiate provided analysis and effectively collaborate with medical group, department leadership, accounting team as well as other staff.
