Senior SAP Business AnalystΒ 

Gaithersburg, MD

Your Tasks:

This position is responsible for supporting and ensuring the successful completion of analytical, building, testing and deployment tasks within SAP environments. This role involves working closely with internal stakeholders to gather requirements, identify areas for improvement, and develop strategies to enhance system performance that align with our business goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for optimizing and analyzing requirements and processes needed for our business and proposing design solutions utilizing SAP.
  • Act as an internal consultant within the business, helping to facilitate and configure SAP as a tool for process improvement.
  • Work directly with SAP system users and leaders to determine the appropriate system configuration and setup depending on the business need. This will include creating and delivering on training materials, procedures, and work instructions to group users.
  • Manage testing application and interface changes before setting up users for test; train users on software quality assurance processes, collect and review test results. Train users on applications up to super-user level.
  • Execute and collaborate with IT project managers on project administration tasks such as issue list management, task management, documentation, training and perform project management tasks on some projects.

Requirements:Β 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Business Administration or a related field; A minimum 5 years of relevant consulting or operations experience with SAP systems, with 8-12 years’ experience supporting those functions in an information technology capacity; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency with SAP MM and PP modules required, other modules are a plus: WM, QM, PM.
  • Experience managing operations and deploying changes in high compliance environments such as medical, pharmaceutical, biotech, food industry, etc.
  • Experience training users and driving change adoption among various user communities, including technicians, engineers, scientists, and management level employees.
  • Experience with ABAP is a plus.

Skills:

  • Ability to self-train on information technology systems such as ERP, MES and other systems using documentation and testing
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing, production, and procurement business processes and their integration with SAP systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once; Ability to work with users to define priorities.Β 
  • Ability to think strategically, execute tactfully, and collaborate across multiple internal teams.
