Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Principal/Senior Principal Data Analyst. This position will be in Huntsville, AL and will support the Sentinel program.
The Assured File Transfer Data (AFT) Analyst is responsible for applying expert subject-matter knowledge to perform data transfers across multiple classifications by conducting thorough reviews of release materials to ensure full compliance with the Security Classification Guide and all applicable classification, marking, and release policies. The Analyst also identifies and escalates classification concerns, refuses approval when release eligibility is unclear, and documents review outcomes to ensure risks are addressed and issues are resolved.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the assigned subject matter and all applicable classification, marking, and release requirements.
• Perform thorough, end-to-end reviews of materials requested for release, validating classification accuracy, sensitivity, and release eligibility.
• Acknowledge Subject Matter Expert (SME) expectations and potential data spill implications prior to approving any High-to-Low Assured File Transfer.
• Communicate classification or release eligibility concerns promptly and clearly to the Assured File Transfer (AFT) Subject Matter Expert (SME) and other appropriate stakeholders.
• Refuse to sign off when classification is uncertain (including by compilation or aggregation) or when information cannot be released at the requested level; escalate for adjudication as required.
• Document review decisions, rationale, and required changes; track issues through resolution.
