Work Location: Role is hybrid (3 days onsite per week), role could change to fully onsite with little to no notice.
Candidate location: Candidate MUST be a SC resident or willing to relocate to SC prior to starting the role at their own expense.
Additional details: Candidates should expect to be fully onsite for the first 5 days for onboarding and training.
The Business Analyst / Quality Assurance Analyst – Advanced performs both BA and QA functions, gathering requirements from stakeholders, conducting requirements analysis, and completing comprehensive software testing within a collaborative Agile environment.
Supports the development, implementation, enhancement and maintenance of mission-critical applications. This assignment provides advanced business analysis and quality assurance services to help deliver reliable information systems that meet program requirements and established quality standards.
3. Duties and Responsibilities
Business Analysis
- Gather, analyze and refine business and technical requirements, user stories, use cases and acceptance criteria.
- Map business processes and workflows; prepare functional specifications, diagrams, reports and user documentation.
- Evaluate existing practices, system capabilities and controls; recommend improvements and resolve requirement gaps.
- Develop and execute test plans, test scripts and test cases for new or modified software, including regression and integration testing.
- Validate solutions against documented requirements and quality standards; identify, record, track and retest defects.
- Review application logs, database records and performance data to investigate errors and verify expected behavior.
- Create automated tests and maintain test suites when appropriate; document test coverage, outcomes and corrections.
- Coordinate with development teams on defect resolution, release readiness, user acceptance and post-implementation validation.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of experience with business process analysis, requirements documentation, workflow development and stakeholder communication
- 5+ years of experience with software QA/testing experience, including test design, execution, defect tracking, reporting and test-result documentation
- 7+ years of experience of software analysis/testing and customized test procedure experience.
- 2+ years of experience in business process design
- 5+ years of experience with each of the following tools: TFS, Visual Studio, SQL Server, MS Project, Balsamiq, Microsoft Office and legacy systems
