Title: Senior Financial Analyst - Finance Ops
Location: Dallas (Hybrid)
Employment Type: Full-Time
About the Role
We're looking for a sharp, self-directed Senior Financial Analyst to join Finance Operations at a high-growth, newly public, energy and infrastructure company in the middle of a multi-billion-dollar capital program.
This role supports three areas: finance systems implementation (modules in Oracle Fusion and Unifier), project finance modeling, and finance process transformation. As the company deploys capital across large-scale power generation, data center, and real estate development projects, you will help put in place the systems, model inputs, and processes that track uses of funds and stand up best practices.
This role reports to the VP, Finance Operations and works closely with FP&A, Accounting, Project Controls, Procurement, Treasury, Technology/IT, and the external system installer team.
This role is for someone who treats a finance process as something to improve, not just run — curious about the business, precise under close deadlines, and able to explain the story behind the numbers to a non-finance audience.
Key Responsibilities
Finance Transformation
Support the ongoing evolution of how Finance works, across four areas:
- Software tools: evolve how Finance uses Oracle Fusion, EPM, Unifier, and reporting tools after go-live — identify enhancements, automate manual steps, and retire offline workarounds.
- Business processes: map current processes such as procure-to-pay, project costing, capex, and close; identify gaps and manual work; and help design future-state processes that use standard system capability.
- Modeling: standardize model templates, drivers, and assumptions so project and capex models are consistent, easy to review, and tied to system data.
- Shared services: help define which transactional finance activities (eg. AP, AR, procurement) move into a shared-services model, with clear roles, service levels, and handoffs.
- Document procedures, controls, and process owners so new processes hold up after go-live.
- Track improvement initiatives against plan and report progress to Finance Operations leadership.
Business Partnering
- Partner with Accounting on month-end close impacts of new processes and systems.
- Partner with Deals and Construction teams to translate operational assumptions into financial inputs.
