Position Description:
The Regional Medical Operations Coordination Center (RMOCC) Data Analyst (East/West Liaison) supports the collection, validation, analysis, and communication of regional healthcare and EMS data. The East regional liaison data analyst will coordinate with the University of Kentucky (UK) team, while the West regional liaison data analyst will coordinate with the University of Louisville (UofL) in line with a consistent RMOCC operating model. The data analyst will translate operational data into timely, decision-relevant information for RMOCC leadership and regional partners, working closely with the counterpart analyst to align data practices across regions, identify capacity and patient-flow trends, support dashboards and recurring reports, and improve data quality and usability. The analyst will also support the monitoring, analysis, and reporting of Pulsara utilization and transfer coordination data, helping identify opportunities to improve interfacility communication, patent movement, and regional resource coordination. During RMOCC activations or surge events, the analyst may provide data and situational awareness support within the established command and escalation structure.
Core Responsibilities:
- Regional Data Liaison and Coordination
- Serve as the primary RMOCC data liaison for the assigned East/UK or West/UofL region, maintaining regular communication with participating EMS agencies, hospitals, and other designated partners.
- Coordinate with the counterpart East/West analyst to apply consistent data definitions, submission schedules, validation rules, and reporting formats across both regions.
- Gather regional data needs and operational questions, translate them into clear analytical requirements, and elevate cross-regional issues to RMOCC leadership.
- Pulsara is a secure clinical communication and care coordination platform being implemented across Kentucky to support real-time communication, patient routing, and interfacility coordination among EMS agencies, hospitals, and healthcare partners. Within the RMOCC model, Pulsara will serve as a key enabling technology for regional situational awareness, care coordination, and patient transfer management.
This is a grant funded position with continued employment contingent on grant renewals.
