JOB SUMMARY:
The National Aquarium is seeking a Data Analyst to support the National Aquarium's data needs through analysis, reporting, and system knowledge. This position works closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, develop necessary reports, and improve how data is structured, accessed, and utilized across platforms such as SQL databases and Salesforce.
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
Essential responsibilities include:
· Analyze and interpret data from multiple systems, including SQL databases and Salesforce, to support business decision-making.
· Develop, maintain, and optimize reports using SQL-based reporting tools.
· Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements, understand reporting needs, and translate those needs into effective reporting and data solutions.
· Support Salesforce data structures, reporting, and general platform usage.
· Assist with database administration tasks, including data validation, data integrity checks, and structure optimization.
· Evaluate existing data processes and recommend improvements to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of data collection, storage, and reporting.
· Ensure data accuracy, consistency, accessibility, and usability across systems.
· Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for reporting and data-related issues.
· Work with internal stakeholders to establish effective procedures and system structures that support accurate, reliable, and useful data and reporting.
· Collaborate with technical and nontechnical stakeholders to identify data needs and develop practical solutions.
