Turn thousands of messy purchase records into a clear picture. One supplier appears under three spellings. A case of bottles sits next to a single bottle in the same column. Campuses count the same thing in different units. You work out what the records really say, fix them in a way anyone can check, and hand the client data they can trust. This is the hands-on work the whole project depends on, and you will do much of it.
What you'll do
Lead procurement and spend analysis for a public university system: what is bought, from whom, where, and how it is changing.
Reconcile and classify records across campuses and reporting years, and build the crosswalks that make them comparable.
Keep original values traceable, and log data-quality problems and how each was resolved.
Write a coverage statement for every dataset: who reported, which periods, what is missing.
Prepare clean datasets for dashboards and reports, and work with the Data Scientist and dashboard developers.
Serve as primary analyst or Task Lead on smaller assignments.
How the role works
Hours are authorized Task Order by Task Order, typically 15 to 30 per week when work is active. There is no guaranteed minimum, and the role starts only if the contract is awarded. You set your schedule within the delivery dates. Finalists will be asked to sign a commitment letter so we can name them in our proposal, and their resume may be shared with the client.
