Business Analyst

Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst (BA) to act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams. The Business Analyst will be responsible for understanding business needs, defining and documenting requirements, translating functional requirements into clear technical requirements, supporting solution design and delivery, coordinating User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and ensuring that implemented solutions meet business objectives.
The role requires strong analytical, communication, documentation, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively across business, product, technology, QA, and project management teams.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Requirements Gathering & Analysis
Engage with business stakeholders to understand business objectives, challenges, processes, and solution requirements.
Conduct requirement-gathering workshops, interviews, working sessions, and stakeholder discussions.
Draft and maintain Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), functional requirements, user stories, use cases, process flows, and acceptance criteria.
Analyse existing business processes and identify gaps, pain points, dependencies, and improvement opportunities.
Ensure requirements are clear, complete, testable, traceable, and aligned with agreed business objectives.
2. Functional & Technical Requirements
Translate business and functional requirements into detailed requirements that can be understood and implemented by technical teams.
Work closely with solution architects, developers, data teams, integration teams, and other technology stakeholders to clarify requirements.
Facilitate discussions between business and technical teams to ensure a common understanding of requirements and expected outcomes.
Review technical designs and solution approaches to ensure alignment with business requirements.
Support clarification and resolution of requirement-related questions throughout the development lifecycle.
3. User Stories & Agile Delivery
Develop and maintain user stories, acceptance criteria, process scenarios, and functional specifications.
Collaborate with Product Owners and delivery teams to refine and prioritise the product backlog.
