We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Financial Analyst with 3-4 years of experience to join our dynamic finance team. The Financial Analysis is responsible for performing core accounting functions and maintaining financial records, including journal entries, conducting monthly and quarterly account reconciliations, monthly and quarterly internal and external financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This role requires attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within the finance team and across departments.
Relationship & Scope
The Financial Analyst – Combined is a pivotal team member of the Finance unit. The Financial Analyst will interact with a diverse group of internal personnel including other accounting team members, and Financial Planning and Analysis personnel and/or functional staff to interpret financial data and operational performance, as well as reporting financial data to external insurance agencies.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for coordination of monthly interface posting and correction of any errors booked to suspense in addition to researching cause of errors and solutioning
Prepare and post monthly journal entries from multiple sources within and outside of the team; effective communication to journal entry requesters is required
Prepare quarterly reconciliations including but not limited to, DAC, VOBA, and Future Policy Benefit Reserves, for review and sign-off
Research and provide explanations for quarterly GAAP flux analysis for items that are outside predetermined thresholds
Work with the Chubb shared service team responsible for Statutory reporting to research and provide explanations, where applicable, for quarterly STAT flux analysis
