DescriptionThe Business Analyst III leads the analysis, design, optimization, and governance of business processes and technology solutions across complex initiatives within Seaspan Shipyards. This role serves as a trusted advisor to business and IT leadership, ensuring strategic alignment between business objectives, end-to-end processes, data, and enterprise solutions. The BA III drives digital transformation, and benefits realization while providing mentorship and guidance to other analysts and project teams.
Note: This position qualifies for an optional hybrid work schedule after 90 days of onsite work and onboarding. Employee will be subject to the terms of the Flexible Work Policy Agreement.
What you'll do
Business Process & Solution Leadership:
Business Analysis & Requirements Management:
- Lead discovery workshops and stakeholder engagements across business and technology teams.
- Elicit, analyze, challenge, prioritize, and validate business, functional, non-functional, and reporting requirements.
- Translate business objectives into business cases and improvement roadmaps, provide inputs for IT Solution design.
- Establish and maintain traceability between business goals, requirements, process models, solution designs, and realized benefits.
- Perform impact assessments across processes, systems, data, organizational structures, and operating procedures.
Project & Delivery Leadership:
- Act as lead Business Analyst on large-scale and cross-functional initiatives.
- Guide project teams through all phases of the delivery lifecycle including planning, design, testing, deployment, and stabilization.
- Support project governance activities, risk identification, issue resolution, and decision-making.
- Collaborate closely with IT Solution Architects, Product and Data Owners, Developers, and Business Leaders.
- Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) planning, execution oversight, and business readiness activities.
