Capital One’s Commercial Corporate Bank provides lending, deposit, and capital markets products to companies across a diverse range of industries (e.g., Healthcare, Technology, Food & Beverage, Energy, Industrials, Consumer, etc.). In this role you will act as an advisor to drive strategic growth across two high-priority balance sheet initiatives: private equity backed (sponsored) M&A lending and partnerships with Non-Bank Financial Institutions (NBFIs) to expand product reach and capital distribution.
As a member of the Commercial Business Analysis team, you’ll work on projects that help position the Commercial Bank for an exciting future. The Commercial Business Analysis team supports the business by leveraging data analysis and model infrastructure to develop competitive LOB strategies that work together to build a resilient and optimal portfolio. Associates should expect to make the case, using internal and external data, for:
Expanding or contracting lending in these segments
Adjusting credit policy metrics or returns thresholds used for loan approval
The positive/negative impact of individual client relationships over time
Developing and launching new lending products
General Responsibilities:

Analysis: Identify business challenges and opportunities for improvement and solve for them using analysis to make strategic or tactical recommendations
Product: Perform modeling/analytics to assist new product and pricing strategies for various lending products
Credit Risk: Support step-change improvements in credit performance by connecting drivers of future consumer credit trends to historical behavior, creating risk models, and testing hypotheses using rigorous monitoring and analysis
Partnership: Work closely with colleagues across Capital One including: IT, Sales, Operations, Finance and others to drive improvement in quality, volume, service, and profitability
