Within GREF, the Global Real Estate & Facilities Intelligence and Digital Experience (GREF IDX) team empowers GREF with the data they need to make better business decisions, manage the Amazon real estate portfolio and deliver a positive employee experience. We are on a mission to use data to inform where, when and with whom work gets done at Amazon.
As a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer, Level 6 at Amazon, you will play a pivotal role in driving the strategic vision and execution of our business intelligence and advanced analytics capabilities within the Global Real Estate & Facilities organization. In this position, you will spearhead the development of innovative BI solutions that empower cross-functional teams to make data-driven decisions and uncover transformative business insights.

Key job responsibilities
β€’ Lead a team of BI engineers, sharing domain expertise and best practices to elevate the overall BI capabilities
β€’ Build visually stunning, interactive dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights to GREF customers using Amazon QuickSight
β€’ Lead the design and implementation of highly complex, scalable, and high-performance BI architectures and data models to support the organization's strategic business objectives
β€’ Use advanced analytics techniques, such as statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and machine learning, to uncover hidden patterns and trends in data
β€’ Collaborate cross-functionally with data engineers, data scientists, and business partners to define and deliver impactful BI solutions that drive business value
β€’ Lead the identification, evaluation, and implementation of new BI tools and technologies to continuously enhance the organization's analytical capabilities
β€’ Represent the BI function in strategic business discussions and provide data-driven recommendations to senior leadership

- β€’ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Management Information Systems (MIS), or a related field
- β€’ 8+ years of experience as a Business Intelligence Engineer or similar senior-level role
- β€’ Proven expertise in designing and implementing complex, large-scale BI architectures and data models
- β€’ Extensive experience with leading BI tools and technologies (e.g., Tableau, Amazon QuickSight, Power BI, Looker, AWS Athena, Snowflake)
- β€’ Deep understanding of data engineering concepts and proficiency in SQL, Python, or other data-oriented programming languages
- β€’ Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- β€’ Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills
- β€’ Experience leading cross-functional teams and driving the successful delivery of BI initiatives

- β€’ Master's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Data Science, Statistics, Operations Research)
- β€’ Extensive experience with Amazon QuickSight
- β€’ Expertise in advanced analytics techniques, such as machine learning, predictive modeling, and artificial intelligence
- β€’ Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure)
- β€’ Experience in real estate or workplace industry
