WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS
SkinHealth Systems' analytics function runs on Power BI — and the Sr Business Intelligence Engineer is the technical leader who sets the standard for how it's built, governed, and delivered. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for Power BI architecture, semantic model design, development pipeline governance, and mentoring BI developers, ensuring that every report and dashboard the business depends on is accurate, scalable, and built to last.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Lead and mentor BI developers, establishing architectural and coding standards and conducting design and code reviews to ensure quality, consistency, and performance.
Implement structured development workflows using Power BI Projects (PBIP) and Git-based version control; embed documentation and governance practices into the development lifecycle.
Manage the BI development backlog and priorities; track and report on delivery metrics, pipeline health, and release status with clear, executive-ready updates on initiative progress and risks.
Lead structured requirement gathering and solution design processes; produce and maintain clear technical and functional documentation that supports scalability, audit readiness, and knowledge transfer.
Operate within formal IT service management frameworks; manage BI-related incidents, requests, and changes through structured tracking systems.
Ensure production stability, reliability, and continuous improvement across the BI environment.
Develop KPI frameworks that improve service performance and customer satisfaction; enable proactive monitoring and root-cause analysis.
Increase automation across reporting workflows to improve development efficiency and reporting speed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
7+ years of enterprise BI experience.
