This position is responsible for assisting with the preparation of audited financial statements and other regulatory filings for TIAA Trust, National Association. This position will also assist with day-to-day accounting for TIAA Trust, N.A. and TIAA Wealth Investment Management (WIM).
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Prepare GAAP financial statements and footnote disclosures
File and manage quarterly Call Reports with the OCC
Drive monthly, quarterly, and annual regulatory reporting — internal and external
Complete month-end close activities and account reconciliations
Respond to audit, compliance, and tax requests
Collaborate with Trust Operations, Trust Administration, Vendor Management, and BFOs
Identify inefficiencies and build automated, scalable solutions
Undertake and manage special projects and other reporting needs as required

- Demonstrated knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and financial reporting standards
- Hands-on experience in financial statements preparation, financial reporting, and regulatory reporting
Preferred
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, demanding environment
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting
- CPA certified or actively pursuing licensure
- Experience in public accounting
- Hands-on experience with enterprise systems including PeopleSoft, Workiva, and Essbase
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel — pivot tables and complex formulas
