WHAT YOU'LL DOΒ Β 


As a Senior Financial Analyst on the Ascend Learning Finance Team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the financial operation for the Health Sciences and Medicine Categories. You will oversee financial operations for multiple brands, acting as a trusted advisor to business leaders. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving the budget and forecasting process, and you will provide valuable and actionable insights through regular and ad hoc analyses. Your work will directly influence strategic decision-making and contribute to the financial health of the organization.Β 


WHERE YOU’LL WORKΒ Β 


This position will work hybrid from our Burlington, MA office.Β 


HOW YOU’LL SPEND YOUR TIMEΒ 



  • Generate insightful reports and analytics to facilitate strategic decision-making.Β 



  • Work with finance managers and business leaders to shape annual and long-range financial plans and analyze budget variances.Β 



  • Provide targeted ad hoc analyses that reveal key financial and operational drivers to inform management decisions.Β 



  • Streamline and automate financial reporting and modeling processes to enhance planning efficiency.Β 



  • Participate in projects that aim to improve the overall efficiency of business and finance operations.Β

WHAT YOU'LL NEEDΒ 



  • Bachelor's degree in related fields, such as Business Administration, Accounting, Business Analytics, Finance, or other areas combined with relevant work experience is preferredΒ 



  • 5+ years of Finance and Accounting experience; prior FP&A experience is strongly preferredΒ 



  • Solid grasp of accounting and finance concepts with very high level of attention to detail and quality output.Β Β 



  • Ability to present financial information and models in a concise and easily comprehensible manner.Β 



  • Collaborative in approach and working style.Β 



  • Comfortable working in an environment with frequent tight deadlines and ability to adapt to changing priorities.Β 



  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills. Datawarehouse, Microsoft BI or Tableau background a plus.Β Β 



  • Basic understanding of SQL and/or DAX a plus, prior experience with FP&A system preferred.Β
