The Role: We are looking for a Sr Financial Analyst to play a key role on the Amazon Go Finance team supporting FP&A. This role will work closely with key business and finance stakeholders to influence decisions across the P&L to improve both topline and bottom-line performance of Go stores. This role serves as the go-to finance partner for all month end close cycles, and will drive deep dives, bridging analysis, and own all planning and guidance loading and other deliverables. Additionally, this role will own key deliverables for forecasting, goals, headcount and controllership for Amazon Go.

Team Exposure/Scope: This role partners regularly with a broad range of finance and business leaders across the Worldwide Grocery Stores Finance organization, often at some of the most senior levels within the company.

Success in this role: Everyone on the team needs to be entrepreneurial, wear many hats, and work in a highly collaborative environment that’s more start-up than big company. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are critical in this role. Key job responsibilities
- Collaborate with Amazon Go Leadership and other stakeholders to identify, recommend, and validate annual and long-term financial plans
- Establish and maintain key financial and operating metrics
- Design and develop both recurring and ad hoc reporting and bridging analysis
- Present weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial summaries and business insights to senior leadership
- Lead short and long-term financial planning processes
- Develop scalable and efficient financial processes to support an emerging business
- Partner with cross-functional teams to build financial models/analysis for business and investment decisions
- Partner with business teams to enable success in the annual Goals process
- Subject Matter Expert for Go Controllership and Working Capital Forecasting

- 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)

- MBA, or CPA
- 3+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
- Experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
