Position Overview:
The Sr. Financial Analyst - Joint Ventures is an experienced professional and business partner who provides critical financial and commercial support to the Joint Venture (JV) organization. As a self-starter, this individual is capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team. This role reports to the Finance department but operates closely within the Joint Venture Governance team. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator, proactive problem-solver, and an excellent team player.
This is an in-office role located at our corporate headquarters in downtown Houston, TX.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the monthly accounting close process, ensuring accurate recording of Motiva's share of the JV’s financial performance.
Prepare monthly reporting packages, including actual vs. budget analysis, for senior management.
Conduct in-depth analysis to provide actionable insights on financial performance and support future forecasting.
Document and maintain detailed processes and procedures, driving continuous process improvements across the team.
Develop and support the 3-year Motiva operational business plan for the JV in collaboration with Joint Venture partners.
Conduct research and prepare JV financial evaluations, including financial trends, operational and capital analysis.
Create financial models, decision reports, and ad-hoc analysis to aid in the JV project/deal decision-making process.
Manage multiple high-priority projects and tasks simultaneously while ensuring timely delivery.
