Position Description:
IDS is currently searching for a Business Analyst with experience in Department of Defense (DoD) financial management processes, government financial and accounting systems, acquisition and budgeting processes, and relational databases to provide support and training on-site to a government customer.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Support SMC Strategic Planning through analysis of defense planning guidance, policies and directives
- Synchronization and integration of all strategic planning efforts for organizations that feed data into the POM
- Develop a master schedule of all planning activities with detailed timelines, synchronize with customers to ensure proactive management of the planning process
- Develop, train, brief, integrate, correlate and analyze various phases of Planning, Programming, Budget and Execution (PPBE) within the DoD portfolio
- Development of the POM, Budget Exhibit Preparation, Staffer Day Briefing preparations, funds receipt, Analysis Reporting, Spring Program Review (SPR), Investment Budget Review, and PMRS
- Act a financial and technical consultant for a DoD program management and financial management system
- Provide expertise in government finance
- Assist customers in properly structuring financial data
- Perform reconciliation between several systems
- Perform daily review of forecasts and accounting data
- Otherwise support a government financial office
Knowledge and Skills:
- This position requires a minimum of seven (7) years of government acquisition, finance or financial management, program management or related experience within a DoD organization.
