Overview

Supports one or more areas of Tableau development and Tableau server administration that includes program management, design analysis, documentation of business needs and adoption. Serves as a liaison between the end-users of the company and IT to identify, communicate, and execute on requirements.

Responsibilities

Manages the Tableau Server environment(s) and Site(s), builds and publishes interactive dashboards, and consults with all internal IT teams to ensure an infrastructure that supports stable, well-designed, highly available, and properly maintained

Administers and supports Tableau infrastructure, creates and manages groups, workbooks and projects, database views, data sources, and data connections

Utilizes SQL and data storage techniques to cultivate data from multiple data sources

Leads Tableau activities including application and program initiatives by providing oversight and management of the business needs, development requirements for enhancements and modifications related to requirements and delivery cycles

Collaborates with internal users and external vendors to translate corporate/functional business and information objectives into a strategic/tactical business plan

Evaluates, facilitates and manages meetings with key stakeholders to review and map out existing practices and identify efficiencies attainable through process alignment and/or improvements

Designs, maintains and enforces Tableau best practices and governance policies.
