Summary

The Tableau Developer ll will provide data visualization capacity for internal and external stakeholders by creating interactive reports, visualizations, and dashboards to support priority company needs. The Tableau Developer will work collaboratively with stakeholders to generate and evaluate user requirements, develop interactive visualizations using Tableau Suite, and provide expert technical assistance to staff as needed on visualization development. Responsibilities will include querying databases in addition to designing, developing, conducting unit testing, and maintaining complex Tableau reports for scalability, manageability, extensibility, performance, and re-use.

· Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to design and build visualizations that meet user requirements.

· Translate business requirements into functional specifications for Tableau dashboards, ensuring solutions meet strategic objectives.

· Connect to various data sources, ensuring data integrity and updating data as needed.

· Create compelling and user-friendly dashboard reports that provide meaningful insights and guide decision-making.

· Develop test plans and test visualizations to ensure reports, dashboards, and queries perform efficiently.

· Provide technical assistance to MarketSource staff on the use of Tableau.

· Work in partnership with Business Analysts to ensure data structures and visualizations are consistent with MarketSource brand standards and development styles.

· Manage and integrate data from various sources, ensuring data accuracy and maintaining the integrity of data feeds.

· Optimize Tableau dashboards and reports for performance, improving load times and handling large datasets efficiently.

· Conduct training sessions and provide ongoing end-user support to maximize the value of Tableau tools.

· Ensure governance of policies and data security, setting up appropriate access controls and monitoring data usage.

· Manage Tableau Cloud, setting permissions, scheduling data refreshes, and monitoring performance.
