**Position Overview:**
The Tableau Lead will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of Tableau-based data visualization solutions. This role involves managing a team of Tableau developers, collaborating with business stakeholders to understand their data needs, and ensuring that the company’s data visualization practices are effective, scalable, and aligned with strategic objectives.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- **Leadership and Team Management:**
- Lead and mentor a team of Tableau developers and analysts.
- Provide guidance on best practices for Tableau development and data visualization.
- Oversee the team’s work, ensuring high-quality deliverables and adherence to project timelines.
- **Data Visualization Development:**
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive Tableau dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights.
- Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and translate them into effective visualizations.
- Optimize Tableau workbooks for performance and scalability.
- **Project Management:**
- Manage Tableau projects from inception through delivery, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives.
- Develop project plans, timelines, and resource allocations.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- **Stakeholder Engagement:**
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide solutions that address those needs.
- Present findings and insights to stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.
- Act as the primary point of contact for Tableau-related inquiries and support.
- **Data Governance and Best Practices:**
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency across Tableau reports and dashboards.
- Implement and enforce best practices for data visualization, including design standards and governance policies.
- Stay updated with Tableau advancements and industry trends to continuously improve the company’s data visualization capabilities.
- **Training and Support:**
- Develop and deliver training materials for end-users on Tableau tools and best practices.
- Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for Tableau-related issues.
**Qualifications:**
- **Education:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Tableau Desktop Certified Professional) is a plus.
- **Experience:**
- 5-7 years of experience in Tableau development and data visualization, with at least 2 years in a lead or managerial role.
- Proven experience in managing and mentoring a team of Tableau developers.
- **Skills:**
- Expertise in Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server, and Tableau Prep.
- Strong understanding of data visualization best practices and principles.
- Proficiency in SQL and data modeling.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex data sets.
- Strong project management skills with experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
