Technical Master Data Specialist

SUMMARY OF POSITION

We are seeking a dynamic professional with expertise in master data management, procurement, and a solid understanding of research and development processes. This hybrid role bridges the gap between our Strategic Sourcing team and innovation, ensuring seamless data governance, efficient procurement, and strategic support to the R&D team.

Technical Master Data Management:

· Oversee the creation, maintenance, and governance of master data from the Technical Teams (e.g., US trend data and product data) to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance.

· Implement and refine data standards, naming conventions, and classification frameworks to align with organizational goals.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, accounting, R&D to streamline data flows.

· Utilize data management tools (e.g., Product Vision, Assistics, Safety Chain) to manage master data records effectively.

Strategic Sourcing:

· Manage the procurement lifecycle for materials and services, including vendor selection.

· Identify and onboard suppliers capable of meeting both operational and R&D-specific requirements.

· Work with R&D teams to source innovative materials or components critical for new product development.

· Optimize procurement processes, balancing cost, quality, and timelines.

R&D Collaboration:

· Support R&D teams by sourcing unique materials, prototypes, or services required for experimentation and product innovation.

· Maintain a database of specialized suppliers and materials relevant to R&D activities.

· Translate R&D requirements into actionable procurement and data management tasks.

· Act as a liaison between R&D and supply chain teams to align objectives and processes.

REQUIRED SKILLS, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE

Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful job performance will be considered. Typical qualifications would be: · Bachelor of Science in Food Science, Food Engineering, Chemistry, Food Safety or similar agricultural discipline.

· Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· 3 years in R&D, Master data position or procurement

· Experience working in or closely with R&D team is highly desirable

· Familiarity with Systems ( Provision, Assistics, Adage)

· Strong analytical and organization skills, with attention to detail

· Proficiency in data governance and management tools

· Knowledge of procurement processes

· Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

· Technical understanding of materials or components used in R&D processes.

· Cross functional collaboration and the ability to work effectively with diverse teams, including R&D, Regulatory, QA, procurement, finance and IT

· Proactive in identifying process gaps and implementing solutions

· Comfortable navigating the complexities of innovation driven environments

· Data driven decision marking to leverage master data insights
