Strategic Sourcing:
· Manage the procurement lifecycle for materials and services, including vendor selection.
· Identify and onboard suppliers capable of meeting both operational and R&D-specific requirements.
· Work with R&D teams to source innovative materials or components critical for new product development.
· Optimize procurement processes, balancing cost, quality, and timelines.
R&D Collaboration:
· Support R&D teams by sourcing unique materials, prototypes, or services required for experimentation and product innovation.
· Maintain a database of specialized suppliers and materials relevant to R&D activities.
· Translate R&D requirements into actionable procurement and data management tasks.
· Act as a liaison between R&D and supply chain teams to align objectives and processes.
REQUIRED SKILLS, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE
Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful job performance will be considered. Typical qualifications would be: · Bachelor of Science in Food Science, Food Engineering, Chemistry, Food Safety or similar agricultural discipline.
· Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
