“Data Analyst” might be one of the most misleading job titles in tech. Companies say: “We need a Data Analyst.” Then the job description says: - Build dashboards - Write advanced SQL - Build Python pipelines - Design data models - Work with dbt - Understand cloud - Maintain ETL - Talk to stakeholders - Understand the business At some point you have to ask: Are we hiring a Data Analyst or a small data team? 😭 But here’s the uncomfortable truth: The market is moving this way. And knowing Power BI alone won’t be enough. You don’t need to become a Data Engineer. You don’t need to become an Analytics Engineer. But you should understand the journey: Source → Pipeline → Transformation → Model → Dashboard → Decision Because when someone asks: “Where did this number come from?” You should be able to answer. That’s the gap I’m helping close.
