Job Description 

The CITI Business Analyst is responsible for the requirement gathering, testing, and execution of processes to migrate and convert data from legacy healthcare EMR systems into a CITI’s Data Archive product. The Business Analyst is a key member of the delivery team and works closely with the client project delivery team.

Role and Responsibilities 

 

Requirement Gathering - Strong proficiency in collecting, organizing, and documenting client requirements and translating those to test cases.

  • Lead client requirement gathering and business case analysis
  • Create requirement and design documents, workflow diagrams, mockups
  • Applies technical knowledge and seeks to fully understand the client’s expectations by asking questions.

  

Troubleshooting - Uses critical thinking skills to Identify problems and proactively intervene to mitigate negative impacts to projects.

  • Support and Lead client validation efforts
  • High attention to detail to ensure work output produced is free of defects.
  • Report and assist in resolving issues or problems.
  • Document and maintain validation issue log

 

Organization and Time Management – Handle multiple projects and tasks and be able to prioritize work ensure timely delivery of work product.

  • Self-starter with initiative and ability to work independently or on a team
  • Must be able to clearly communicate issues and delays to the Project Manager and Team Lead.
  • Knows when to seek assistance to ensure deadlines are met and quality is delivered.

 

Communication - Understands the importance of effective internal and external communications to ensure project success.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Provides project status updates to key stakeholders
  • Document all Issues and requirements for a project to ensure accurate delivery to client
  • Provide regular updates to CITI Project Manager and client Project team

 

Qualifications and Education Requirement: 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree required 
  • 3+ years of experience in Business Analyst or EMR Implementation role.

Preferred Skills: 

  • Experience using or supporting an EMR system:
    • Allscripts, Cerner, Meditech, eCW and Nextgen experience preferred.
  • Microsoft SQL Server T-SQL knowledge and experience
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Experience with one or more of the following database types preferred: (Oracle/PostgreSQL/Sybase/Cache/Mumps)
  • Familiar with Azure Cloud Hosting Services
