The Business Analyst will be responsible for creating online SAP Training content using SAP Workforce Performance Builder for the NCDOT Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system utilizing SAP software. The fiscal accountability and management of DOT’s diverse activities is extremely complex and requires a robust business system that will provide meaningful, accurate, and timely information for the various needs of public/private end users, the Federal and State government and departmental and administrative requirements.

 

Role responsibilities:

• Deploy Workforce Performance Builder (WPB) based upon best practices and DOT’s project requirements.

• Work with the DOT SAP Training Team and SAP Support Services to design, prototype and finalize end user training solutions.

• Work with DOT SAP Training Team and SAP Support Services on converting legacy training content into WPB.

• Create a strategy for managing WPB content change management.

• Create a strategy for marketing WPB content to the DOT business community.

• Provide guidance on WPB template setup.

• Provide WPB training to other DOT employees.

• Provide guidance on user transition to new WPB training service.

• As needed work extended hours to implement scheduled or emergency changes

 

Required:

• Experience with training and adult education.

• Experience with training material development.

• Experience managing digital content using web-based applications.

• Ability to learn new training material development tools and templates.

• Ability to balance the development of multiple courses at one time.

• Facilitate quality reviews on content/text/functionality of training materials.

• Experience in instructor-led training.

• Knowledge of Instructional Design Theory and Adult Learning Principles.

• Experience in on-line course development.

• Experience with marketing and marketing strategies.

• Experience with graphic design.

• Prior experience with SAP software desired.

• Excellent communication skill (written, verbal, presentations).

• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.

• Self-starter who can work with a large and diverse team of business, management and IT individuals.

• Microsoft Office experience (e.g, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Visio).
