• Individual will support the Corporate and Regulatory Reporting activities for the Real Estate Lending legal entities.
• Responsibilities will include the preparation of journal entries, analysis of financial results, interacting and supporting Shared Service requests during financial close, preparing supporting schedules in support of Banking quarterly regulatory reporting, assisting in the preparation of standalone audited financials for various entities, and assistance on special projects.
• Depending upon the skill set of the individual, he or she may also perform certain first level reviews of various financial schedules and provide support to the department manager in ad hoc requests. Position is critical in the management of the monthly, quarterly and annual reporting and close processes for the Client business.
• The position also plays a pivotal role as a representative on various Corporate projects and initiatives, which crosses various aspects of the Client reporting process, and as such, is a regular participant in any projects impacting our Corporate systems.
• The role reports into the North America Controllers Organization and supports the Real Estate Lending (REL) business.
• Ensure the month-end books are closed and that the quarterly regulatory process is submitted accurately and timely. In addition, this person would be responsible for working on various ledger and system projects.
• Manage and oversee various daily, monthly, and quarterly accounting tasks and processes in support of the Client business segment, including monthly financial close and regulatory reporting deliverables.
• Serve as representative and liaison for the Client business in relation to regulatory filings, intercompany transactions, and management books, and as the primary interaction point with other functional areas in their support of corporate and regulatory reporting processes. Participate in various Corporate initiatives related to accounting systems and projects.
• 3+ years of Public Accounting and/or Corporate experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance
• CPA License preferred but not necessary
• Self-starter
• Communication (verbal and written) skills
• Work independent
• System experience including: Microsoft Office skills (i.e., Excel, Word, Access, etc.)
• Strong work ethic
• Dependable
