We are seeking a SrΒ Business Analyst with Comp Rater experience.Β  Responsible for support of business areas by means of research, analysis, testing, documentation and training of larger and more complex systems and/or procedures. Work with end user and technical personnel. Participate fully in the project development process, contributing to the development, enhancement and maintenance of company and vendor systems on various platforms. Participate in the decision making process with the unit management as well as on project teams, and make recommendations to effect change.

Ideal candidate will have the follwing knowledge/experience:

Β 

  • Understanding of integration between Comp Raters and carrier is preferred.
  • Experience working with Comp Rater vendors (communicating production defects, tracking and testing vendor development efforts) preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent efforts

Β 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


Education:Β Bachelor's Degree or professional level of knowledge in a specialized field, or equivalent, related experience.
Experience:Β 4 - 6 years - or Associates Degree equivalent plus 6 - 8 years.


Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Experience in procedural development/workflow analysis required.
Understanding of the business and technical elements of the property and casualty insurance business preferred.
Experience in the use of system development methodology best practices.
For some positions, knowledge of Agile (Scrum, Kanban) project management methodology.
Experience with requirement management tool(s).
For some positions, experience with Business process and Business intelligence tool(s) preferred.
Knowledge of P&C insurance domain and products preferred.
Proficiency in the use of system query tools and test data selection.
Ability to provide estimates for project deliverables.
Ability to coach and direct staff.
For some positions, ability to work with team distributed at geographically remote locations.
Strong analytical, and negotiating and influencing skills.
Excellence in defining and documenting business requirements and use cases.
Excellence in developing and executing system test plans and test matrices.
For some positions, proficiency in the use of desktop applications.
Proven ability to become proficient in new tools and techniques as they emerge.
The ability to offer and entertain challenging ideas in a collaborative work environment.
Ability to be proactive, results oriented, and accountable for the quality of your work.
