As our client's company continues its remarkable growth trajectory, we are seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer to collaborate with the data team and business stakeholders. This individual will provide insightful analytics, drive data-driven product features, and report directly to the Head of Data.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Execution of BI task backlog, encompassing full lifecycle development in DOMO, Looker, Tableau, or PowerBI.
  • Conduct discovery interviews with business stakeholders to comprehend business needs and outline appropriate analytic solutions/requirements.
  • Develop and deploy SaaS analytics products.
  • Cultivate expertise in our client's company's business model and relevant data sources.
  • Establish and sustain systems to ensure data quality and reliability, fostering confidence and adoption of BI systems across the organization.
  • Design data solutions tailored for business application.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Computer Science, with proficiency in constructing analytic systems using software architecture patterns.
  • 3+ years of experience with DOMO, specifically working with Magic ETL 2, MySQL/RedShift dataflows, Beast Mode, data import jobs, Analyzer, PDP, etc., OR proficiency in Tableau, Looker, PowerBI, or Snowflake.
  • Experience in data engineering beyond BI tools, including ETL/ELT, data source mapping, RDBMS, NoSQL, Azure DF, Redshift, BigQuery/SSIS/SSAS, SQL Server, Postgres.
  • 3 years of structured query development experience.
  • Familiarity with mid-sized company BI processes and patterns, particularly in successfully delivering and adopting BI across mid-sized company data and organizations.
  • Proficiency in a LEAN approach to analytics, particularly in a startup environment.
  • Experience with API utilization for data acquisition.
  • Knowledge of Python is advantageous.
  • Agile/Scrum experience.
  • Reliable internet and phone connection.
  • Excitement or experience in working in an early-stage environment.
  • Ability to effectively manage time, work autonomously, and remain self-motivated.
