Hours:              Monday – Thursday


Status:              Full Time 


Reports to:      Document & Data Lead


 


 


Purpose:


Under the supervision of the FHS Document and Data Lead and FHS Director, this position requires specialists to work with applicants pending eviction in Clark County and the paperwork required for rental assistance applications. Specialist ensures data entry and uploads into systems required to process new or pending applications with Clark County.


 


Duties, Functions and Responsibilities:



  1. Maintains all computer records in the data intake system, including, but not limited to, the inputs of client demographics and services provided.

  2. Make referrals and assist with support services, as needed.

  3. Serves as an information collection point between clients and Clark County.  Ensures data compliance and accuracy.

  4. Attends training when available.


 


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:



  1. Knowledge of local social service agencies and programs, as they pertain to community resources available.

  2. Knowledge of applicable statutes and regulations with CHAP program.

  3. Communicate effectively with persons from a variety of social, cultural, and economic backgrounds, and display a demonstrated understanding and sensitivity to culturally diverse populations.

  4. Effective written, verbal and listening skills, and the willingness to independently initiate and respond to various correspondence.

  5. Ability to maintain order and exercise appropriate judgement in crisis situations.

  6. Flexible, and able to quickly adjust to shifting priorities.

  7. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, follow employees, other agencies and with the general public.

  8. Organize work schedule and budget time.

  9. Understand and follow all agency policies and procedures.

  10. Experience with data entry and HMIS.

  11. General computer knowledge and the ability to use Microsoft Office software.

  12. Ability to work flexible hours, as required by the program.


 


Qualifications, Education and/or Equivalent Experience:



  1. High School Diploma or GED.

  2. Data Entry and HMIS experience preferred.

  3. Must pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening.  Random drug screenings are performed.
