Job Purpose/Overview

The Commercial/Financial Analyst is part of the Sales Operations team tasked to help facilitate informed decision-making for Senior Management and the Sales organization. By managing data, generating reports, and conducting analysis, the Financial Analyst plays a critical role in providing valuable insights that drive revenue growth and operational efficiency.


This is a hybrid role that can be based out of any of our 3 Antech offices (Fountain Valley, CA, Loveland, CO, and New York City, New York).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The Commercial Analyst will play a pivotal role in delivering both ongoing and ad hoc reports and analysis, support some Sales Operations functions including sales commissions and Sales team questions. This position is integral to supporting management, the Sales team, and the Sales Operations team by ensuring reports are available to internal stakeholders and by providing critical insights and actionable information.

Reporting:

  • Generate standard, customized, and ad hoc reports tailored to specific user needs.
  • Ensure reports are relevant accurate and provided in a timely manner.
  • Manage the creation and ongoing distribution of recurring reports.

Insights and Analysis:

  • Gain an understanding of the industry, products & services, internal processes and business needs to provide insights that help drive revenue growth and process improvement.
  • Develop and monitor metrics to evaluate past and predict future business performance.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for key areas including revenue, pricing and contract data.
  • Conduct ad hoc requests for analysis as needed.

To be successful in providing the deliverables above, the Analyst will need to efficiently manage data and streamline processes.

Data Management:

  • Assume ownership of managing data sources, including data collection, accuracy, and reliability.
  • Conduct tasks involved in manual and automated data collection.
  • Maintain data integrity to ensure high-quality reporting.
  • Ensure data is organized and information about the data is documented so others can utilize the information.
  • Anticipate future business needs by identifying and collecting new data from internal and external sources.
  • Ensure that existing data is formatted appropriately to facilitate timely responses for ad hoc requests.

Process Efficiency

  • Support, recommend and/or drive continuous improvement in reporting and automation of data collection, data management and analysis processes.
  • Automate data collection, preparation, and report generation to streamline workflows and enhance productivity.
  • Develop efficiencies in reporting processes, utilizing tools such as VBA, Power Automate, Power BI, alongside process changes and robust data management practices, to ensure the delivery of high-quality reports in a timely manner.

​Additional Duties

  • Support annual budgeting processes.
  • Communicate and work with teams across multiple departments to achieve common goals.
  • Collaborate with and provide backup support for other analysts on the team.
  • Collaborate with other functional teams to enhance reporting & insights.
  • Support questions from sales team, sales management on reports and incentives.
  • May be asked to participate in enterprise initiatives, special projects, and other duties as assigned.
  • Collaborate within the Sales Operations team and across other functions to fully understand the products, processes, systems to support report development and insights.

Education and Experience

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Economics or related field.
  • 4-6 years’ experience as a Financial or Sales/Commercial Analyst or related analytical position.
  • Experience developing and maintain reports.
  • Experience creating reports in Power BI.
  • Experience automating reports and process using VBA.
  • Experience with budgeting and budgeting process.
  • Experience providing analysis & looking for the hidden meaning in data.
  • Preferred experience working in Sales Analysis.

The Target Pay Range for this position is $76,700 - $105,000 annually. At Antech, pay decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, education, training and budget.
