WHAT YOU'LL DO

The Data Specialist II will perform a variety of operational tasks to support CRA & HMDA Compliance. The impact of this position is important to the improvement of the CRA and HMDA Compliance Programs data integrity model. Improved quality control, monitoring and testing will help the bank prepare for the various regulatory changes affecting overlap in these data streams.Β Β The successful candidate will be able to review, validate, and compile data records. They will assist in preparing for the various regulatory requirements and changes affecting overlap in these data streams.


Requirements

HOW YOU'LL DO IT

  • Perform quality control and data scrubs on all CRA and HMDA data streams including but not limited to HMDA- Mortgage Lending, CRA Lending, 1071-SB Lending.
  • Perform credit or lending data entry into the compliance software.
  • Provide monthly data reporting from compliance software.Β 
  • Provide quarterly benchmark reports vital for management reporting.Β 
  • Assist to log, track and resolve errors on data.
  • Data quality and integrity reviews.
  • Maintain procedural manuals, job aides, and tools.
  • Other compliance-based monitoring duties to be determined.
  • Contribute to other areas, as needed.
  • Provide service in accordance with Coastal’s Core Values.

WHAT YOU'LL BRINGΒ 

  • Proficiency in MS Excel and Word
  • Strong organizational and time management skillsΒ 
  • Work on large data sets quickly and efficiently
  • Strong communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to perform repetitive tasks with high accuracy and consistency
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy a must
  • Cooperative and professional attitude
  • Basic statistical knowledge is a plus

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent amount of relevant experience
  • 5+ years’ experience with data entry, quality control, monitoring and testing
  • Experience with compliance software CRA/HMDA Wiz, RiskExec or other related software systems
  • Knowledge of consumer compliance regulations is a plus but not required
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and Word
