Overview


FMI's Compensation Group is seeking a high-energy, self-motivated individual with high level quantitative and analytical skills to join its growing team. This data analyst role will support FMI’s compensation consulting and data resources business with processing and delivering survey data to leading clients in the A/E/C industries.

This hybrid, full time role is based in our Tampa, Florida office. Applicants must reside in or be willing to relocate to Tampa or a reasonable commuting distance.

Responsibilities


  • Support and maintain data infrastructure, systems, and processes to ensure accurate and timely delivery of data and solutions throughout FMI and to clients.
  • Provide MySQL database support, operational maintenance of underlying data and cloud systems to include AWS, AZURE, Salesforce, and O365, and detailed documentation of all work processes.
  • Utilize Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server, Alteryx, Python, Excel, and MySQL to process, manage, and deliver data driven solutions.
  • Serve as a primary technical contact for vendors engaged by FMI to update or enhance systems and the user experience.
  • Find and recommend new uses for existing data sources: design, modify, and build new data processes; build complex data sets and databases; collaborate with the FMI consulting team to analyze trends and report industry updates.
  • Provide ongoing client support, including confirming data access, offering training, and responding to questions.


Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in data science, mathematics, statistics, computer science or related field
  • 3+ years proficiency across Tableau, Alteryx, and Python
  • 3+ years of demonstrated SQL programming skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams
  • Excellent quantitative and analytical problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with an emphasis on establishing understanding among technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong listening, problem solving, interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Maturity, integrity, and the ability to work in an entrepreneurial environment, both individually and in a team with colleagues in multiple locations
