The Data Specialist 2 is responsible for coordinating and performing data entry and verifications, maintaining record keeping, and developing and maintaining system reports and providing agency-wide database training. This is a full-time, Limited Duration position that reports to the Data Manager.
This Limited Duration position ends June 30, 2024.
PRIMARY Job responsibilities
Provides timely, accurate data entry for all agency programs for the purpose of accurate tracking and evaluation via multiple internal and client databases
Performs data collection and entry functions using existing protocols.
Keeps track of received data and source documents and completed work.
Assists staff with data entry questions, compiles and analyzes data.
Creates, prepares and processes special and recurring reports and administrative records via multiple databases.
Prepares and sorts source documents and identifies and interprets data to be entered.
Performs file transfer processes as needed based on project requirements.
Resolves data questions, inconsistencies, or missing data problems.
Reviews error reports and enters corrections into computer.
Provides data verification and interfaces with program staff to ensure accuracy of data and reports
Participates in site review process and maintains all site review data.
Maintains all data documents for Local, State, Federal and other funders’ requirements.
Provides current and accurate communication via email, phone and in person contact with staff and other internal and external customers
Provide on and off-site training and the creation of documentation for internal staff
Provide technical assistance for agency database to internal staff
Accepts other appropriate duties/responsibilities as assigned by SEI management.
A Bachelor’s Degree or college level courses in Office Administration or similar field preferred
Experience with non-profits preferred but not required
Training and/or customer service support experience preferred but not required
At least three (3) years of data collection/entry experience.
Must have advanced knowledge of computer systems and software technologies
Must have advanced working knowledge of MS Office
Ability to analyze and interpret statistical data.
Ability to communicate reports with program managers and directors
Must have effective interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with people of varying social, economic and education levels.
Demonstrated report writing skills
Must be highly organized and self-motivated with effective time management skills.
Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information.
Demonstrated attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy when performing data entry
Ability to handle multiple tasks with varying deadlines
