Minimum qualifications


Bachelors degree or equivalent practical experience


Experience using Google Workspace or Office applications


Excellent written and verbal communication skills to clearly communicate in English


Sound judgment and excellent problem-solving skills


Ability to efficiently communicate and collaborate while working remotely




Preferred qualifications


Previous experience in a customer service role


Ability to work independently and collaboratively to complete projects in a timely manner


Experience communicating and translating complex information to end users and stakeholders


2+ years of experience using Google Sheets, Excel, or SQL for data analysis, reporting, and data


visualization


Familiarity with the Google Standard SQL Dialect, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript




About the Job


We are searching for a friendly and highly analytical Data Governance Specialist to join the team at Arsenault. In this role, you will conduct compliance reviews for resources created by Googlers, approve Googlers request for access to internal data sources, answer Googlers queries and resolve issues via appropriate channels, and maintain knowledge of Googles data policies and workflows. An excellent Data Governance Specialist will demonstrate exemplary time management skills and be passionate about finding a user-centric approach to upholding Googles policies. Ideal candidates should be great communicators who are self motivated critical thinkers able to adapt quickly to new information and process improvements.




Responsibilities


Governing data through compliance reviews for reports and projects seeking approval to be used as internal resources or shared outside of Google


Promptly responding to Googlers queries about Googles data policies via internal queues, email, and, occasionally, direct chat or video calls


Reviewing Googlers requests to access internal data sources


Communicating core principles and policies for data sharing, data access, and tool development to Googlers


Collaborating with team members to work on ad-hoc projects to create or improve team resources and workflows


Identifying inefficiencies and escalating them to team leads, along with suggestions for improvement when possible


Familiarizing yourself with new or updated policies as they are introduced
