This position supports the Care New England Corporate Financial Planning team activity and partners with the extended Finance team that supports our hospitals and facilities.
Job Summary:
The Care New England Financial Analyst supports the Vice President of Finance, Finance Manager, assigned OU Leadership, and CNE Finance on all hospital financial matters including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and analysis.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs analysis as assigned by VPF, Finance Manager or requested by OU Leader or CNE Finance.
Assists with financial analysis, productivity analysis, financial reporting and developing comprehensive financial models to support assessment of strategic initiatives.
Prepares all weekly, biweekly, and monthly financial reports and metrics.
Supports Finance leadership with the completion of the annual budget, capital budget tracking and working with Corporate Finance on all OU specific questions.
Aids OU leaders around budget variance analysis, productivity analysis, and any accounting unit assignment.
Assists in the development and implementation of standard business planning analyses for requests.
Supports the preparation of projections, net present value analysis and return on investment of projects. OR Assists in the development of comprehensive financial models to assess changes in service line activities, growth of new service, opportunities for market expansion, and impact of service line elimination.
Prepares and presents analytical reports. Assists departments in interpreting reports and develops suggestions to improve operating measures.
Assists in the development of Key Performance Indicators; research various sources to obtain benchmarking and productivity data.
Assists in the development of teaching/learning plans for new processes and system tools, as needed
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
BA/BS degree in Accounting, Business or Finance.
Two years of related experience preferred.
Strong analytical, technical, and organizational skills required as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Proficiency in the English language.
