The Financial Analyst will report to the Finance Manager and serve as a link between commercial, operations, and finance teams. Financial Analyst Job Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Help with preparing monthly financial analyses, including variance explanations and basic trend identification.
  • Month-End Close: Assist in financial reporting and month-end close activities.
  • Analytical Problem-Solving: Assist in identifying and addressing business challenges and opportunities by preparing data and analysis.
  • Standard Cost Modeling: Support the maintenance of accurate cost data in J.D. Edwards.
  • Operational Support: Gather and review data related to metrics like waste, rate, and efficiency to assist manufacturing operations.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Provide financial support for project tracking across different departments.
  • Data Management: Maintain data integrity and assist in using internal repositories and reporting tools.
  • Ad Hoc Analysis: Perform ad hoc business analysis and engage in special projects as needed.

Financial Analyst Job Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a quantitative discipline.
  • Experience:
  • 2–5 years in a similar role.
  • Manufacturing industry exposure preferred.
  • Skills:
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; Access is a plus.
  • Knowledge of J.D. Edwards or similar ERP systems.
  • Excellent oral and written communication.
  • Work Environment: Primarily office-based, with some travel to locations in Canada and the U.S.
