The Financial Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting financial planning, analysis, and reporting functions across multiple branches. This position requires strong analytical skills, an entrepreneurial mindset, and attention to detail. Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting and Analysis:
    • Publish financial statements through Cube and distribute them to all branches.
    • Publish key performance indicators (KPIs) to branches.
    • Ensure accuracy and integrity of accounts in Cube, manage account mapping, and prepare financial reports.
    • Review monthly branch profit and loss statements and balance sheets for unusual trends, identifying potential accounting errors or branch performance issues.
    • Develop and maintain U.S. GAAP-compliant financials using Cube.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting:
    • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, including creating templates and conducting interviews with branch leaders.
    • Prepare sales analysis to evaluate the price-to-cost relationship and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Technical Accounting Support:
    • Provide technical accounting guidance to staff accountants as needed.
    • Stay current with U.S. GAAP standards, with the ability to prepare white papers on relevant accounting topics.
  • Asset-Based Lending (ABL) Reporting and Audits:
    • Own the ABL asset reporting, ensuring accurate and timely information for internal and external stakeholders.
    • Support ABL audit processes, including preparing necessary documentation and analysis.
  • Data and System Management:
    • Collaborate with the Power BI team to incorporate branch and consolidated financial statements into Power BI for comprehensive reporting and insights.
    • Develop financial reports within Cube for effective data-driven decision-making.
  • Partnership and Precision:
    • Demonstrate a strong passion for precision and attention to detail in all reporting and analysis activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field. MBA and/or CPA designation preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with a Big 4 accounting firm in Audit or Transaction Services.
  • Experience working with large ERP systems.
