Summary:
Proctor is a large and complex organization where a deep understanding of the business drivers and in-depth reporting is crucial to its success. This means an expanded build out of the team is necessary to support business intelligence initiatives within the Finance Department. Though the primary focus is financial data analytics, an analyst needs strong skills in technology and intellectual curiosity to effectively support the driver-based solution approaches.
Responsibilities:
Support the reporting process for the monthly financial closure of the books
Thrive in a data manipulation environment to arrive at accurate and consumable analytics
Analyze financial data to assess business impacts and trends
Identify and implement opportunities for improvements and efficiencies
Document FP&A processes to ensure consistency and accuracy in financial reporting
Conduct ad hoc analyses as requested by leadership
Maintain performance under pressure to meet tight deadlines
Skills & Qualifications:
A positive “can do” attitude, and commitment to continuous learning and professional development is absolutely crucial. Please be honest when evaluating if this matches your personality.
Key skills are in technology and analysis, but a basic understanding of finance and financial statements is advantageous.
Expertise in MS Excel is vital, along with competency in other MS Office products.
Knowledge of the MS Power Platform including Power BI, Power Query, and/or Power Automate is beneficial.
Adaptability to fluctuating priorities and business needs is essential.
Must demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills, ensuring accuracy while managing multiple tasks.
Other Requirements:
Hybrid position where in office collaboration is expected a minimum of 3 days per week.
This position is tasked with getting the job completed within certain deadlines. So, the hours will vary and at times require after hours effort and weekends, especially during the quarter close process.
Detailed oriented approach and the ability to self-review work for accuracy before publishing data.
Some travel may be required.
